The Academy and its Divisions and Interest Groups are recruiting reviewers for the Annual Meeting. If you plan to submit your work for review, the Academy strongly urges you to sign up as a volunteer reviewer for the divisions and interest groups that you submit to and/or whose domain in which you are knowledgeable.

Reviewers gain visibility for themselves and their institutions. Reviewing gives you an opportunity to be pro-active in the Academy's program planning process. It is a way to give back to your professional community. It is a way to learn about what constitutes excellent and interesting work. We hope that you will volunteer to review for at least one division or interest group. To sign up, please visit http://review.aomonline.org. Simply select a sponsor and use the keywords to indicate your special areas of knowledge and interest.

You can sign up to review for up to 2 divisions and/or interest groups.  For each of the divisions that you signed up to review, each division may ask you to review up to 3 total submissions. So, the maximum number of review assignments that you could receive is 6.

Additionally, you can sign up to be a reviewer for the All-Academy Theme program. If you also signed up to be a reviewer for the All-Academy Theme program, you will ONLY be asked to review ONE symposium. Please be aware that this year the review period is January 15, 2013 (Submission Deadline) to February 21, 2013 (Review Deadline).

Final submission notifications will be completed during the first week in April 2013.

Theme for the 73rd Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management
August 9-13, 2013, Lake Buena Vista (Orlando), Florida

The Academy of Management's vision statement says that we aim "to inspire and enable a better world through our scholarship and teaching about management and organizations." The recent economic and financial crises, austerity, and unemployment, and the emergence of many economic, social, and environmental protest movements around the world have put back on the agenda some big questions about this vision: What kind of economic system would this better world be built on? Would it be a capitalist one? If so, what kind of capitalism? If not, what are the alternatives? Although most of our work does not usually ask such "big" questions, the assumptions we make about the corresponding answers deeply influence our research, teaching, and service. We invite you to join an exciting range of sessions organized by our many Divisions, Interest Groups, and Committees, and to join the scholarly discussion on this year's theme—“Capitalism in Question."
