Other Associate E ditors and Editorial Review Board members will join in facilitating the wo rkshop.Purpose and AgendaThis idea development workshop (IDW) is geared to ward early career researchers (e.g.\, Assistant Professors and Postdoctora l fellows) and PhD students who are interested in publishing in AMR. Altho ugh this IDW is open to anyone\, preference will be shown to individuals f rom institutions based in Northern Ireland and the Northeast of England. T he hope is that this workshop will help participants develop well-crafted manuscripts suitable for submission to AMR. \;The workshop is open to participants outside Northern Ireland and the Northeast of England. Attend ance is free however places are limited. Tea\, coffee\, lunch and dinner w ill be provided\, in accordance with the university Covid-19 mitigation me asures. You must\, however\, cover your own travel and accommodation costs . If you have any question\, please contact: Jacqueline You at \;jing.you@durham.ac.uk.Workshop FormatThe workshop will be divided into two parts:We will first discuss general information a bout publishing in AMR\, such as what makes a successful AMR paper\, the m ain reasons that papers are rejected\, and strategies for addressing the c ore challenges that Editors and reviewers see in rejected papers. We will also briefly discuss a set of exercises that authors can complete to help clarify the theoretical contribution represented by their ideas\; these ex ercises\, and a description of their value\, are available in the pre-work shop activities reading.The second half of the workshop will entail roundt able discussions of theory ideas from the participants. We will match 4-5 participants with an Associate Editor or an Editorial Review Board member. These groups will discuss the participant ideas and provide the participa nt with insight into how to clarify the paper idea or move the idea forwar d.
