The indicators of university work mainly fall into three categories: 1) research; 2) teaching; 3) service to the general public. The Chinese say that teaching is beneficial to each other. I totally agree. For a person who does not know a theory, he will ask the professor some questions other than the theory. This person can be a student, an administrator, or even another professor. I was able to publish articles with two professors in 2020 because I don’t know some theories of psychology. I am more interested in quantitative marketing, but I don’t have much experience in behavioral marketing and psychology. I guess it’s different. People will have different mentality, and they will be more likely to buy or not buy the same product due to changes in the nature of the same product. The other two professors then proposed a theory based on psychology to target consumer mentality, and perfected this theory. How do research and teaching complement each other? One of the methods is case research and writing. I have read the article "Case Method to Build and Teach Management Theory" published by Professor Clayton M. Christen and Professor Paul R. Carlile in Academy of Management Learning & Education. "Using cases to establish and teach management theory", I was deeply influenced and put it into action, so I have researched, written and published many cases in the past 10 years.
