In this issue: Annual Meeting 2019 in Boston - "Understanding the Inclusive Organization"

THE ANNUAL MEETING EDITION

This year’s theme, " ", has significant meaning for the Academy of Management as a whole: not only do our sessions highlight the management and organizational questions that advance our understanding of the inclusive organization, the Academy itself has realized inclusivity through our membership.

This year, as you explore the Annual Meeting in Boston, you’ll notice that attendees hail from more countries than ever before (92, to be exact), and more members from around the world will be traveling to Boston than those from within the U.S. We are well on our way to reaching our 2022 goal of becoming the premier global community for management and organization scholars.

To answer the calls from the business community for practices and policies designed to drive the empowerment and contributions of their workforce, our members have responded with an incredible variety of sessions. More than will discuss such issues as inclusivity of LGBTQ employees, women’s impact on diversity, justice in the #MeToo era, and adapting to AI on a global scale.

This Special Annual Meeting Edition of the AcadeMY News offers a wide range of meeting information—such as session highlights, technology resources, and dining and entertainment options in and around Boston. Be sure to explore the and download our to stay connected throughout the conference.

If you aren’t registered to attend, there is still time! #AOM2019 is on its way to becoming one of the highest-attended Annual Meetings in AOM history. and add your voice to the premier conference for management and organization scholars from around the globe.

We look forward to seeing you in Boston!
