Companies’ Personas Can Influence Employees, Too

The more that employees believe a workplace looks aesthetically pleasing and normal, or how they expect it to look, the more they trust their organization.

“Pivoting is seen as a silver bullet for failing new ventures, but our study actually finds that it can be a double-edged sword, that it can backfire,” a researcher says.

New CEOs are more vulnerable to being fired when their predecessors stay on as board chair without a clear plan for departure—or the stock market reacts negatively to the appointment.

Regardless of whether companies really take advantage of employees or not, many workers might feel exploited, resulting in behaviors that can hurt organizations.
