The Academy of Management Annual Meeting is not only a place to showcase and learn about the frontier of management research, it is also an opportunity for educators to develop their teaching expertise and exchange effective teaching practices with colleagues from across AOM. For members whose work includes significant teaching responsibilities, as well as those interested in strengthening their teaching, AOM is introducing the Teaching Track, a curated list of Annual Meeting sessions focused on teaching.
Teaching Track at AOM 2026
Drawing from sessions sponsored by AOM Divisions and Interest Groups (DIGs), the track highlights a curated set of more than 100 professional development workshops, symposia, and related programming with relevance for educators and others interested in teaching and learning.
Included sessions address a variety of topics, perspectives, and approaches related to teaching and learning, pedagogical practice, educator development, classroom innovation, emerging technologies, and teaching across diverse disciplinary and educational contexts. The track is designed to help attendees discover sessions from across DIGs, connect with others interested in teaching and learning, and participate in networking and community-building activities that support a community of practice around teaching within AOM.
Community Activities
In addition to sessions, the Teaching Track will include opportunities for networking, discussion, and community-building designed to foster connections and support a community of practice around teaching within AOM.
Session Selection and Curation
Sessions included in the Teaching Track were selected from accepted Annual Meeting submissions that identified a teaching orientation during the submission process. The AOM Teaching Committee oversaw a curation process intended to identify teaching-relevant programming from across Divisions and Interest Groups that would contribute meaningfully to the Teaching Track.
The Teaching Track is intended to provide a curated pathway through teaching-focused programming rather than a comprehensive listing of all content related to teaching and learning. Teaching-related content can be found throughout the Annual Meeting across a variety of session formats, and attendees are encouraged to use keyword searches and other program search and filtering tools to identify additional sessions aligned with their interests.
