The 2022 Annual Meeting has come to an end, but the engagement has just begun!

More than 10,000 members joined together this year to make the first hybrid Annual Meeting a memorable event and gave members an opportunity once again to connect, engage, and collaborate both in-person and online. While everyone is understandably tired from the past few days of sessions and conversations, remember that the time after the meeting is an important for reaching out and connecting with each other, introducing yourself to colleagues who you didn't have time to meet, and making plans for future collaborations.

The Annual Meeting is inspirational for everyone--take advantage of this time after the meeting to think about how we can individually and collectively continue "Creating a Better World Together".

Post-Meeting Engagement Tips:

  • Contact colleagues who’s session inspired you or who's research you would like to learn more about.
  • Return to your favorite sessions to read and add comments in the chat section to share your thoughts and continue the scholarly conversations.
  • Share your photos, favorite memories, and inspirational thoughts on social media or on Connect@AOM.
  • Visit the to see event photos to share with friends, colleagues and family members when you get home.

AOM Poll Question

Last edition's AOM Quick Poll responses to:

What’s the best networking advice you would give to first-time Annual Meeting attendees?

  • Don't be afraid to say 'hello' to your favorite scholars.
  • Ask the people you know to introduce you to people you don't. Consider them your AOM wingman!
  • Speak to whomever you are sitting next to.
  • Don't hesitate to reach out to obvious connections, but definitely make it a point to reach out to at least one (preferable 2 or 3) less than obvious connections. Find people who you would only tangentially talk to otherwise and engage them in a meaningful conversation. You never know what will come from might seem like a random/non-obvious connection.
