This workshop has two main parts. Part 1 comprises a general introduction to AMLE, touching on its overlaps with other key journals in the field. Part 2 is focused on supporting and advising researchers, with current work-in-progress, how to develop and refine their papers with submission to AMLE in mind. This workshop is hosted by University of Alberta.

Submission deadline: 1 September

This workshop has two main parts. Part 1 comprises a general introduction to AMLE, touching on its overlaps with other key journals in the field. Part 2 is focused on writing manuscripts that advance our theoretical understanding about AMLE phenomena for the research article and essay sections of the journal. This workshop is hosted by University of Queensland, Australia.

Chak is an associate professor of management at the City University of Hong Kong.

 

His research examines employee voice behavior — the upward communication of ideas, suggestions, or concerns to an employee’s leader, which is intended to benefit their work unit or organization. He is also interested in well-being and self-determination at work.

 

His work has been published in journals such as Academy of Management Annals, Academy of Management Perspective, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Personnel Psychology, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes.

Anita M. McGahan, a professor at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, is the

 

The Ghoshal Award recognizes a scholar who has distinguished themselves by demonstrating both rigorous and impactful scholarship, and by engaging with the world of practice.

 

Her credits include five books and over 200 articles, case studies, notes and other published material on competitive advantage, industry evolution, and innovation in the public interest. In 2010, she was awarded the BPS (renamed STR) Division’s Irwin Distinguished Educator Award, the 2012 AOM Career Distinguished Educator Award for her championship of reform in the core curriculum of Business Schools, and the 2021 Career Distinguished Service Award for leadership in the Academy and other organizations.
