AOM Publications’ New Orders and Renewals

The Academy of Management (AOM) has partnered with ESBCO to distribute electronic access to all AOM journals. As a result, AOM will no longer accept institutional or individual orders for the electronic versions of our journals. That includes both new orders and renewals. Any customer wishing to purchase an electronic journal subscription must contact their existing EBSCO representative or send an email directly to [email protected].

The AOM will only take orders for print customers, or electronic access to our non-journal products, AOM Today and/or AOM Insights.

The Academy of Management (AOM) will no longer accept institutional orders (new or renewal) for the electronic version of its publications. This applies to all AOM journals handled via your subscription agency.    

AOM has partnered with EBSCO Business Source (all versions) via EBSCOhost for delivery of electronic access to AOM journals. If your customers are interested in subscribing to Business Source, please have them contact EBSCO @ [email protected] and EBSCO will provide them with a direct quotation.  

In line with the above, subscriptions to AOM journals will be fulfilled as follows:  

  • Electronic Only — Subscriptions will be fulfilled through EBSCO Business Source product.  
  • Print only — AOM will continue to accept print subscriptions.  Print pricing and ordering information is available.  
  • Print and Electronic Subscriptions — We are no longer offering a print plus electronic subscription option. For these customers they will be able to order the e-journal as noted above and the print also noted above.  
  • AOM Insights and other “non-journal” subscriptions — All subscriptions for AOM Insights, and any other non-journal products, will continue to be fulfilled through AOM.

The AOM will not be sending out renewals for their electronic journal subscriptions. Agents and/or customer(s) must contact EBSCO ([email protected] ) to ensure new electronic journal subscriptions are processed. 

Print Subscriptions and Purchases

Persons interested in AOM PRINT, INSIGHTS, and/or COLLECTIONS subscriptions should contact the KnowledgeWorks Global team using the following methods:

  • 5% agent discount.
  • No cancellations except for duplicate orders.
  • Prepayment in full required on all orders.
  • Print back issues from North America is USD$35 and USD$40 for Rest of World. For more information, please contact the publishing department.

Purchase an Article: Pay for Short-Term Access

Non-members of the Academy of Management can purchase access to individual publication articles. Browse through the full archive of online content and select the article you want access to. When you are prompted to sign in, select the “Purchase Short Term Access” option.

Short term access is $35 USD per article for 3-day access.

Annual Meeting Proceedings

Academy of Management Proceedings is only published online. It includes abstracts of all papers and symposia presented at the annual conference. It also includes 6-page abridged versions of the “Best Papers” accepted for inclusion in the program (approximately 10%). Papers published in the Proceedings are abridged because presenting papers at their full length could preclude subsequent journal publication.
