Incoming Editors: Annals, Collections, and AMJ

AOM announces the incoming Editors of Annals, Collections, and AMJ.

The Academy of Management Board of Governors is pleased to announce the next editors of Academy of Management Annals (Annals), Academy of Management Collections (Collections), and Academy of Management Journal (AMJ). The new Annals editorial team will begin to receive manuscript proposals on 1 April 2025. The new AMC and AMJ editorial teams will begin to receive manuscript submissions on 1 July 2025. The full teams will be announced later this year.

Annals

Image of AOM member Gary A. BallingerGary A. Ballinger is the Richard D. Wood Bicentennial Professor of Commerce at The University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce. In his research, he focuses on factors that impact the operation of social exchange and trust relationships in the work context.  Gary has been an AOM member since 2000 and is a member of the Managerial and Organizational Cognition (MOC) Division, Organization Behavior (OB) Division, and Research Methods (RM) Divisions of AOM.

Image of AOM member Cristina B. GibsonCristina B. Gibson is University Professor and Dean’s Distinguished Professor of Management at Pepperdine University. She works at the nexus of organizational science, international management, and cross-cultural psychology to increase employee dignity, well-being, social impact, and organizational effectiveness. Cristina joined AOM in 1992 and is a member of the International Management (IM) and OB Divisions.

Collections

Image of AOM member Christine Quinn TrankChristine Quinn Trank is a professor of the practice of organizational leadership at the Peabody College of Education and Human Development of Vanderbilt University.  Chris studies the institutional environment of organizations and occupations, including educational and academic contexts.  She has been an AOM member since 1993 and previously served as representative-at-large on the Board of Governors and currently serves on the Academy of Management’s Ethics Education Committee. She is a member of Critical Management Studies (CMS), Management Education and Development (MED), Management History (MH), MOC, Organization Development and Change (ODC), Organization and Management Theory (OMT), OB, Public and Nonprofit (PNP), RM, Strategizing Activities and Practices (SAP) Divisions.  

“My hope is that Collections will be a form of outreach to new audiences through the essay—such a powerful form of writing.  There is something liberating in the form that engages the imagination.” 

AMJ

Roberson ConnallyQuinetta Roberson is the John A. Hannah Distinguished Professor of Management and Psychology at Michigan State University. With over 30 years of academic and professional experience, her research focuses on developing organizational capabilities and creating value through the strategic management of people, with particular emphasis on diverse work teams, inclusive work environments, and organizational justice. Quinetta has been a member of AOM since 1995 and previously served as President of AOM (2020-2021). She is a member of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI), Human Resources (HR), OB Divisions.

“This role is especially meaningful in my academic journey, building on my experiences as an author, reviewer, associate editor, and deputy editor, and further deepening my commitment to fostering rigorous and impactful research.
