Why submit to AOM 2021?
The deadline for all submissions was Tuesday, 12 January 2021. If you submitted for the 2021 AOM Annual Meeting, you may view your submissions in the Annual Meeting Submission Center. Decision (accept/reject) notifications were sent in early April.
AOM is the best venue for receiving feedback on work in progress. Submitting to AOM’s virtual Annual Meeting eliminates the financial and time constraints of attending in person, providing you with more time to focus on your work.
Accepted submissions allow first-time attendees the opportunity to present and interact with thousands of like-minded AOM members and colleagues from around the world.
Receive helpful and valuable feedback from reviewers and session participants for work in progress, while reinforcing your own scholarly identity and making serendipitous connections with fellow AOM scholars.
Build your expertise of the scholarly process and gain insightful feedback while preparing, submitting and presenting your research. Increase your professional network and be in contention for awards.

What can you submit?
Paper Sessions are the heart of scholarship and offer the most significant contributions to the Annual Meeting.
Speakers discuss a common topic or theme that brings new insights to the subject. Symposia (either Panel Symposia and Presenter Symposia) can be submitted to up to three Divisions and Interest groups (DIGs).
Caucuses encompass a wide variety of topics, and we encourage proposals that feature nascent ideas or ongoing themes that would be interesting to the entire AOM community.
Professional Development Workshops include a wide variety of session formats, such as doctoral and junior faculty consortia, as well as learning experiences led by experts in the topic with intended takeaways for the participants.
Submitting a Proposal
Submitting proposals is a great way to participate in the Academy of Management (AOM) Annual Meeting. By submitting papers, Professional Development Workshops (PDWs), symposia, and caucuses, you have the opportunity to share your work and knowledge with fellow management and organization scholars. Important Notes For Submissions
- Submitters do not need to be members to submit a proposal to the Annual Meeting.
- If a proposal is accepted, participants must register to attend the Annual Meeting.
- All participants attending the Annual Meeting must be AOM Members and registered for the Annual Meeting.
