The New Member Portal is now active! 

Access your upgraded member portal, which offers a range of new benefits, including: 

  • Convenient access to update your personal and professional information at any time 
  • Automatic membership renewal and the option to receive electronic notifications 
  • Effortless management of your Division and Interest Group (DIG) selections during renewal and the ability to purchase additional ones 
  • Easy access to review Annual Meeting submissions and participation records 
  • What do I need to do? 

The new member portal will require you to set a new password. You should have received an an email with detailed instructions. If you did not, please contact membership@aom.org for further assistance. 

Is your profile up to date? Is any information missing?

Get the most out of your AOM experience! Keeping your profile updated ensures we send you the most relevant information based on your preferences and interests. Some information may not have been transferred. 

To resolve this: 

  1. Log in to your profile: Verify the information currently displayed. 
  2. Update your details: Edit your profile to enter missing affiliation or other information. 
  3. Contact support if needed: If you encounter issues or notice discrepancies, contact us at membership@aom.org

New Member Portal FAQs

Navigate to the My Info section to: 

  • Add a saved photo of yourself by clicking on the pencil icon found on the picture icon
  • Share a short or volunteer bio
  • Add your Areas of Interest 

In the member profile, select My Affiliations from the options on the left and then Create Affiliation near the top. Begin typing the name of the affiliation and select the appropriate option from the list. Save.

The My DIGs tab displays all available DIGs. The ones you selected when joining will be bold and any additional DIGs you

have purchased will be selected with a greyed-out checkmark.

Purchased DIGs can only be changed upon membership renewal.

The two DIGs that are included as part of your membership can be switched at any time by selecting the My DIGs tab, unselecting the DIG(s) that are bold, choosing your new ones and selecting Save

 

The My Membership tab will display all current (Active) membership information. It will also display your current and previous membership terms.

Can I auto-renew my membership?

Yes. To opt in, you must first have a saved payment method on file. After you pay your renewal, navigate to the My Membership tab and select Manage. Now you can Update Payment Method and/or Enable Auto Renew

Hover over the login icon and select Change Password.

Your username is your preferred email address.  To update, go to My Info, select "Email and Phone”, and change the Preferred Email. This will now become your new username. 

To change your Password, hover over the login icon found near the upper right corner and select Change Password. 

Current receipts may be found under Invoices/Receipts via the left-hand menu. Select the “All Orders” tab and choose the invoice or receipt desired. use the small arrow on the right to download the document. 

Membership types may be updated at the time of renewal by selecting the appropriate subscription as part of the on-line renewal process. 

Yes, auto-renewals can be processed in the new member portal. To opt in, you must first have a saved payment method on file.

After processing your annual renewal, navigate to the My Membership tab and select Manage where you can Update Payment Method and/or Enable Auto Renew.

Under Renewal Notices, you will see a “Pay now” option under your most recent membership term. You may also print out an invoice and change/add DIGs. 

If you do not see the "Pay now" option, please contact Member Services for further instructions. 

AOM memberships are individual, and group memberships are not offered at this time.  If an entity wishes to pay for a group of members with one payment, please contact Member Services for assistance.

Academy memberships are individual, non-transferable and non-refundable. 

Under My Info you may change your first and middle name.  For security reasons, please contact Member Services for last name changes. 

Under the right-side menu, select Communication Preferences. Here you can: 
  1. Select Academy wide communication alerts that interest you 
  2. Update your Journal Alerts and preferences 
  3. Individualize your DIG/Community alerts 

AOM offers an Emeritus category to current members who have retired from full-time work and have been a member of the Academy for more than 10 consecutive years. The Emeritus category offers a reduced rate with no change to member benefits.  If you fall within this category, please contact Member Services to assist in updating your record.    A new member Emeritus rate is not available at this time.
