Since its founding in 1936, the Academy of Management has evolved from an organization of 10 members seeking to advance the scholarship of management science, to one with thousands of members representing the interconnected scholarship of 26 diverse management disciplines embodied in our professional Divisions and Interest Groups (DIGs). Individually and collectively, the DIGs are a primary means through which much of the scholarly work of the Academy is accomplished. Importantly, DIG membership takes on significant value in the Academy as members find their intellectual homes in one or more of these unique groups.

Powered by the commitment, passion, and ingenuity of volunteers, DIG programs truly are created by members, for members. DIGs provide valuable service to members year-round, offering opportunities to connect, learn, volunteer, and socialize with their peers.
