Academy of Management members recently voted to approve amendments to the AOM Bylaws. The amendments to Article II and Article III address the ballot construction and vote tabulation methods for Board of Governors’ elections and will be implemented with the 2023 Board of Governors elections. The changes include modifying the ballot construction for the Representative at Large positions from three segmented candidate sets to one single listing of all candidates. Additionally, the methodology for vote tabulation for the Board of Governors' elections will shift from the Hare Method (Single Transferable Vote) to Plurality Voting (Popular Vote). These changes aim to simplify the voting process and provide greater clarity and transparency in the election results.
