The meeting kicked off with a 6:00 AM EDT session on broadening the AOM experience for emerging international members and concluded its first day at 22:00 PM EDT with a session hosted by the editorial team of the Asia Pacific Journal of Management and
a virtual cafe for members from Asia and Australia. Due to the flexibility that comes with a virtual meeting, sessions are held at all hours of the day-ensuring attendees from many global time zones are able to fully participate and collaborate.
Over 400 real-time sessions and more than 1,600 pre-recorded and on demand sessions will take place at this year's meeting.

AOM Vice President and Program Chair Herman Aguinis, George Washington University, was frank about the accomplishment of creating this virtual meeting in a matter of months. "I'm going to be completely honest with you: just a few months ago we were not sure that a virtual conference would be possible," he said. "But we--and I emphasize we, because this has been an incredible team effort--have put together a program with more than 1,600 sessions. The program engages more than 10,000 contributors from more than 80 countries around the world. Every single Academy of Management division and interest group is represented in the program. There is something of interest to everyone."
So excited for the first virtual AOM! No jetlag, no running across buildings, and no missing sessions!
