Call for Volunteers: HR Division Ambassadors

Add to:

Represent your country in the HR Division. Volunteer as an HR Division Ambassador and help make an impact in the scholarly community in your country and across the globe.

Would you like to represent your country in the HR Division?

The HR Division Ambassadors Program was launched in 2008 to attract and welcome international members to the HR Division. There are currently ambassadors from 58 countries and they are charged with helping to promote engagement with AOM and create stronger connections among members across the globe.

Why should this be of interest to you?

As an HR Division Ambassador you will be able to make a real impact for the HR community in your country, and beyond.

Our HR Ambassadors participate in a variety of activities such as:

  • Developing initiatives which involve, engage, and serve our global community;
  • Leveraging the knowledge within the division and developing events/products in your country or together with ambassadors from other countries that contribute to the research, teaching, and service objectives of division members;
  • Connecting and building allegiances with other learned societies in your home country, with a few to enhancing collaboration between AOM and international partners.
  • Connecting HR Division members within their own country (and global region) in order to enhance knowledge creation, promote research and education excellence
  • Connecting with local scholarly HR/management associations to strengthen connections with associations and members within the country/region
  • Staying actively involved with the AOM HR Division (e.g., attending annual meeting, HR international conference, or virtual events) and sharing knowledge and experiences with members in your country/region
  • Hosting virtual or face to face events of interest to HR Division members (e.g., paper development workshops, webinars, HR International Conference). This could be in combination with other learned societies in your home country.
  • Volunteering for the HR Division mentorship programme – either as a mentor or as a mentee depending on your level of seniority- to further enhance the research collaborations of early career scholars in your home country

Ambassadors should have a strong, active connection with the HR scholarly community in their representing country (ideally they are currently living and working in that country).

Applications from early-career researchers are actively encouraged.
